Cool Hex Bug win!

A really cool site had a giveaway recently for a new Hex Bug, and I was the lucky winner of one of them! These little bugs are absolutely nuts! My 4-year-old just loved it and thought it was the coolest thing, especially because he got to freak his older sister out with it. We have seen these Hex Bugs in the stores and everytime we went by them my son would ask for one, and now thanks to  www.promoteyoursite.weebly.com I was able to win one for him! Way behind

Things have been super crazy with work and I haven't gotten around to posting in a while. I keep saying tonight is going to be the night that I post something and then something comes up and it gets put on the backburner. Well, I'm going to try to be better at this and keep up with this blog. Check back for some posts about some cool stuff I've gotten recently thanks to a bunch of great people, sites, blogs, and more!!!

Not much going on this week...

Besides doctors appointments and some meetings at school there's not a whole lot I have going on this week. I'm sure I'll be busy with work, though.

A new video game did come out this week...Castlevania...and since I had a reserve on it at Gamestop I picked it up last Thursday when I got my paycheck. Pretty good game so far, though I haven't gotten to play too much of it yet, so we'll see.

I think I'm slacking off on my couponing too. I don't think I've actually gone coupon shopping in about a week and a half...shocking right? I guess sometimes I get burnt out on that too. Maybe I'll get out of this funk soon and it'll be back to business as usual!

I've had enough...

Well I have decided that it is time I invest in a new digital camera. The one I have has batteries and was not a rechargeable kind and when my batteries died in my camera it somehow erased all my pictures. I just can't believe it. : (

I lost all my pictures from the Mix Pups party we just had and the ones I still had on there from our trip to the Baltimore Zoo with the Zhu Zhu pets are gone too.

I have had enough and I'm going to go buy a new digital camera that is rechargeable and that takes a memory stick, that way this will never happen again. Anyone know of a good one to recommend?

MixPups party!

We had a great party last night! The girls were so excited when they walked in and saw all the Mix Pups sitting there. They must have played with them for hours, each girl wanting to try on a different accessory and kept trading them so they could see how each one looked on each pup. The van was also passed around and played with a whole lot.

The other moms were very impressed and thought they were great toys that will probably be included in Christmas presents this year, that is if the girls don't drive them crazy before then asking for more accessories LOL

All in all it was a lot of fun. We roasted marshmallows and ordered pizza. And we had enough that each girl went home with their very own set of Mix Pups to keep and play with.

I'm waiting till I get more batteries for my camera so I can put the pics up!

A fun party for a great new toy!!

MomSelect and Jazwares, Inc. just sent me a great party package full of new toys to show off and have a fun party! These new toys are just as cute as a button and I know my daughter is just going to LOVE them! The new toys are called Mix Pups. You can mix them, dress them, and pose them.

Here's a little product info on them:
Mix Pups is a brand new line of poseable, collectible, pocket-sized puppies that girls can mix'n'match to make their very own designer pups.

Now on to the down-low on these puppies (pun intended). They are super duper adorable! Each puppy has it's own name and each is a different breed. There's a Retriever, Boston Terrier, Cavalier, White Terrier, Chocolate Labrador, Husky, Beagle, White Poodle, Bulldog, Dalmation, Silver Yorkie, Dachshund, and Chihuahua! You can change their hair, their outfits, and even what they're playing with. You can buy accessory packs to dress them up and each has a different "theme". The ones we got were Fairy Fantasy, Beach Bash, and Run & Play.

I can't wait for the party and to be able to have the girls play with these Mix Pups. I know we'll have a blast with all the party games and recipes that we also got. It's going to be fun, fun, fun!!!

Here comes fall!

This is definitely my favorite time of the year! I truly love fall. The weather is perfect, the kids are back in school so I get a few hours to myself, and things just seem easier and relaxed for us.

So much fun...

Saturday we went to the Baltimore Zoo for the Zhu-niverse Dance party and we had a blast! The kids got to get up on stage and do the Flo Dance with the party hosts and got Zhu-Zhu tote bags for getting up there and dancing.  They got to play with all the new Zhu-Zhu toys and all their accessories, the Zhu-Zhu Nintendo DSI game, and even got to go through a Kung Zhu obstacle course. The coolest part of the Zhu-niverse Dance party was where you got to go up and answer a few questions to figure out what Zhu-Zhu pet you are.

After that we got to go look around the Baltimore Zoo and the kids had a blast. We got a lot of great pictures and some video too. It was truly a great experience and I'm so thankful that we were able to be a part of it!

Today's the first day of many more to come

This is my first attempt at a blog and it should be interesting to see where it goes. I'm not sure where this will lead, but you never know and I have hopes. To start off I'm 29, I'm married to a wonderful man, I've got 2 children, I work as a transcriptionist from home, and I'm an avid couponer. I love finding deals and freebies. I use coupons to score a lot of free or cheap items and this has tremendously helped my family save money and actually get stuff that we normally wouldn't have been able to get on a regular basis. It's exhillerating hunting down deals and it truly is fun for me. I love to share what I've learned with my family and friends, even if they don't always take my advice.

I also love crafting, sewing, reading, cooking, movies, and music. Music is something that I've always loved but movies are something that me and my husband learned that we had in common. We have a huge movie collection and it's truly awesome that we get to share this passion with one another.

This weekend we are going to a Zhu-niverse Dance Party at the Baltimore Zoo and I'm so excited. The kids get to get up on stage and dance the Flo Dance and I just know it will be so much fun. The kids are excited and now we're just waiting on finalizing our plans. I'll post pics when I get them.
